I discovered the lusciousness of Applebee's Blondies with Maple Butter Sauce when I was in college. It's like a little piece of heaven. So rich and smooth.... mmm! When I came across this copycat recipe, I couldn't wait to try it out. And guess what! It's wonderful! My husband (who is also a big fan of this dessert at Applebee's) absolutely raved about this version I made at home. Success! :) Try
Wonderful Mashed Potatoes
I really do use website as my cookbook these days. So when I was making dinner the other night, I jumped on to look up the recipe for my favorite wonderful mashed potatoes. I was in shock that it wasn't on here! I guess some of the basic, every day recipes don't always make it on because they just aren't glamorous enough. :) I had to get down my trusty homemade cookbook Melanie made me when I got
Rhodes Buttery Breadsticks
I gotta say, I am loving this recipe lately! I feel a little silly posting a recipe using pre-made dough on our cooking blog but these breadsticks definitely have their place and time. Have you ever made a yummy dinner for someone and put all your energy into the main dish and had nothing to go with? Or who out there happens to have some rhodes rolls in their freezer right now? I do have to say
Dad’s Fabulous Baked Beans
My dad, Johnn Sterzer does not possess a large repertoire of cooking skills, but there were a few things that he has mastered... and one of these is baked beans! My dad used to make these for camp outs, barbecues, picnics, and occasionally just because. And every time he did? No leftovers. He made them for us a few weeks ago when we came over to watch a BYU basketball game with him. He hadn't
White Chocolate M&M Popcorn
White Chocolate M&M Popcorn is simple to make but absolutely delicious! The perfect sweet, salty and crunchy treat!
Homemade Oreos
Can you tell that I am getting excited about Valentines Day? I love this holiday. On Friday schools in Chattanooga Tennessee sent the children home at 11am because there was a threat of snow! People take even a little snow as seriously dangerous around here. (I do realize that it is because snow is so unusual that the city does not have snow removal equipment.) Coming from Utah where blizzards
Crepes
My family LOVES these crepes, or "roll up pancakes" as we like to call them. This recipe makes a thin crepe that is very simple to make. I usually butter them straight out of the pan and sprinkle on some powdered sugar and then roll them up. My boys would eat them dipped in syrup when they were little. YUM!! I also have a creme filled crepe recipe here.
Cherry Lemon Scones
When a bag of dried cherries caught my eye at the store, I remembered these fantastic Cherry Lemon Scones my little sister Erin and I had made together the last time she visited Utah (when we were all still there). We invited our other sisters over and had a delicious treat together. The scones were wonderful and of course the time spent with my sweet sisters was too! Remembering our fun afternoon
