I came across this New York Times article about a Shallot and Mustard Vinaigrette (A Salad Dressing to Rule them All) and I was intrigued (read it here if you want). So I learned that this basic vinaigrette, made in big batches from real ingredients, could live happily and indefinitely in your refrigerator door. How cool is that?! I don't know about indefinitely but a
Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce and Meatballs
You need to try this Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce and Meatballs recipe asap! I know that the Instant Pot is all the rage right now, and I do love mine, but lets not forget about our good old slow cooker! I really love to throw a few things into my crockpot in the morning and then just forget about it until evening, when like magic we have a wonderful warm dinner all ready to enjoy! This slow
Cranberry Walnut Oat Bread
Have you ever eaten at the Atlanta Bread Company? They have an incredible turkey sandwich on their menu that is served on Cranberry Walnut bread and it is AMAZING! I love the flavor of the cinnamon infused bread with the tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts. I could eat it everyday but the problem is I live in Chattanooga which is about an hour and half drive to Atlanta.
Weekly Menu #8
The boys are back in school this week--phew! I am ready to be back on a regular schedule again! Did I mention that we had only one day of school last week--hah?! No snow or ice in the forecast this week, just rain, so school should be on. This morning I finished up my weekly menu plan for this week and made a list for the grocery store. I love to get organized and do as much meal prep ahead
Mini Chocolate Cake
Happy Friday sweet friends! I hope you have had a good week. Mine was a bit crazy! My husband was in California all week on a business trip and here in the South we had some frigid icy temperatures (at least for us) and therefore NO SCHOOL all week until today! It was fun...but, I was ready for my cute boys to be back on a schedule and have things to do again! For
Sheet Pan Roasted Italian Sausage and Vegetables Dinner
Here in the South we are going on our 3rd day of no school due to "inclement weather". My boys are loving it, but I cannot help but chuckle! Here in my area, we literally only got a dusting of snow (much to our disappointment) and the roads are not icy at all. Cancelling school seems ridiculous, but I guess there are some out lying areas of our district that are still iced over.
Winter Vegetable Soup and Popovers
A couple of months ago, I was sick with an awful head cold and my sweet friend Jessica dropped off a mason jar full of this incredible soup along with some freshly grated Parmesan Cheese. I was having a hard week with my husband out of town and feeling terribly ill, this sweet offering was such a comfort and a boost. Soup never tasted so good! I honestly think I might have gotten a little tear
Mason Jar Salads: Chicken Apple Harvest Salad
As you know, eating healthy and especially getting more veggies into my diet, is one of my New Years Resolutions this year. I am finding it is key for me to prep my meals ahead of time in order to make healthy choices because when my days get going, I get too busy to want to stop and chop ingredients for a salad. These Mason Jar Chicken salads are working out GREAT for me! I make
