Menu Plan #7
November 6-12 2023
Monday:
Chicken and Cornmeal Dumpling Soup is pure comfort food and will warm you up on a cold day. We love this dinner so much. Serve with a big green salad and some fresh fruit (like sliced oranges-easy and yummy)!
Tuesday:
Smash Burger Tacos are perfect for ‘Taco Tuesday’! Such a fun and delicious fusion of cheeseburger and taco! Don’t forget the super easy pickled onions–yum!
Wednesday:
Sweet and Spicy Spinach Salad with Maple Cider Vinaigrette is a perfect dinner for me as is! To make it more hearty add some rotisserie chicken, or serve it alongside some simple oven baked or pan fried salmon, chicken or sausage (we like the apple chicken sausage).
Thursday:
Italian Pepperocini Roast Sandwich with melted provolone on a toasted Ciabatta Roll. This sandwich is seriously sooo good! Throw it into the crockpot first thing in the morning and it turns into the perfect meal in the evening for your family! Super flavorful and tender fall apart meat. We love it as a sandwich but it is equally good over mashed potatoes.
Friday:
Pizza night–My husband offers to “cook” this night and that means ordering pizza locally (haha) but there are lots of fun pizza recipes here if you want to make your own!
Saturday:
Date Night–out! Leftovers for whoever is home.
Sunday:
Cheesy Chicken Broccoli and Rice Bake is a wonderful dinner that comes together easily and always hits the spot. Serve this with a nice green salad like this Simple Arugula Salad with Lemon Dressing.
Breakfast Ideas:
Pumpkin Baked Oatmeal with Cream Cheese Drizzle is such a wonderful breakfast it feels like a treat but is very healthy and filling! Just an incredible way to start your day! It reheats beautifully for several breakfasts during the week so double the recipe if you have a big family!
Snack & Dessert for the week:
Classic Sandwich Bread Just like my sweet Grandma used to make. My boys get so excited when I make this bread and swear all their school friends beg for a bit of their sandwich at lunch. Sometimes they ask me to just pack two, so they can share! It really is wonderful bread and your family will love it too!
Giant Ginger Spice Cookies are the perfect treat to kick off our first full week of November. There is something about molasses and ginger cookies that just say Fall and the best part is how they fill your home with the most incredible smell while they bake! Have you heard of the famous City Cakes Bakery in New York City? These are a copy cat recipe for their popular cookies. YUM!!
