Description
The perfect side dish that tastes like something you would order at a fancy restaurant but is actually quite simple to make.
Ingredients

- 4 TB butter
- 1/2 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups rice
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 TB lemon juice
- fresh parsley for garnish, if desired
Instructions
- in a medium sized pot, melt butter over medium high heat.
- add onion and sauté until softened.
- Next, stir in garlic and rice and let it cook for a few minutes while stirring the pot.
- Add chicken stock and milk, bring to a simmer and cover. Reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
- Turn off the heat and stir in parmesan cheese and lemon juice, until it is melted and creamy. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. ENJOY!
