Aloha Honey Roasted Macadamia Butter consists of macadamia nuts tossed with cinnamon, honey and coconut oil, baked until fragrant and processed until smooth and creamy! Happy Summer sweet friends!
Last month we went to Hawaii to visit my sister Mindy and her family, who have been living there this last year. It was a wonderful trip! We enjoyed the beautiful beaches, awesome hikes, and lots of incredible food! One of our favorite Hawaiian snacks were the honey roasted macadamia nuts. So good!
When I got home I made this Honey Roasted Macadamia Butter to give us a little taste of the Hawaiian Islands here in Chattanooga. This was super easy to make using my food processor but I know a high powered blender (Vitamix or Blendtec) would work equally well.
After roasting the nuts in the honey mixture the house smelled incredible and we couldn’t help enjoying a few warm from the oven. WOW–they were divine! I knew then that they were going to make an amazing nut butter and I was right! We have enjoyed it on everything including:
*Oatmeal
*Yogurt Bowls
*Toast
*Fresh Fruit
*Smoothie Bowls
*Muffins
And straight out of the jar, of course!

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp honey
- 4 tsp coconut oil melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2 cups macadamia nuts (if using salted omit salt from recipe )
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the honey, melted coconut oil, cinnamon and salt. Then add the macadamia nuts and toss to coat them well with honey-coconut oil mixture.
- Spread nuts on a lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and roasted. Keep an eye on the oven to make sure they don’t burn. Remove from the oven. Let them cool a little.
- Transfer roasted nuts to food processor or high speed blender and process until smooth. You should get a very smooth butter in less than 5 minutes. Transfer into an airtight container and store in the pantry or the fridge.
- Great on toast, drizzled on yogurt and fruit, smoothie bowls, oatmeal, sliced bananas…or anything you can think of!
