- 3 pounds apples cores removed (unpeeled)
- 1/3 cup water
- pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional–it brightens the flavor)
- 1–2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional but we love it!)
- 1 Tablespoon pure Maple Syrup (optional if you want more sweetness)
Instructions
- Wash apples thoroughly (especially if you are not peeling them), core and quarter them. Place apples, water and lemon juice in the instant pot. Close/seal the pot and set on the manual High Pressure for 10 minutes and press start.
- At this point you can stain out the peels if you don’t want them or just blend them up along with the remaining apples with an immersion blender or in a high powered blender.
- Let cool before transferring to different storage containers. This will keep for about 10 days stored in the fridge or about 2 months in the freezer.
