Happy Holidays!
Are you enjoying your week between Christmas and New Years? I always love this time when the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over and we can all just relax and enjoy time with our family and friends. I love having things ready to pull out for snacks and this Southern Pimento cheese is one of our favorites!
This cheese spread is a classic Southern staple that you will find at any party or gathering. It is the perfect spread for crackers, dip for veggies and is fantastic on a ham sandwich, grilled burger or with fried green tomatoes …really I think you will find countless ways to enjoy Southern Pimento Cheese!
It seems like everyone here has an old family recipe from their Granny that they swear is the BEST Pimento Cheese ever! Since I am not from the South, I had actually never tried Pimento Cheese until I moved here. Now that I have lived here for almost 10 years, I have sampled lots of pimento cheese and this recipe is my favorite. I love that is has a cream cheese base (some recipe just use mayonnaise and no cream Cheese) and the little bit of cayenne pepper gives it the perfect little punch of flavor. Trust me, this Southern Pimento Cheese will be a new favorite appetizer! YUM
