Ingredients

  • 2 pints Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the Brussels sprouts and cut an X into the base of each.
  2. Steam the Brussels sprouts for 10 minutes. Remove from heat (**See below for Instant Pot directions)
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet along with chopped almonds and cook until it turns nut-brown in color.
  4. Just before add steamed Brussels sprouts and toss until well coated.
  5. Then season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Instant Pot Directions:

  1. Take prepared Brussel sprouts and place in steamer basket on top of trivet that comes with the Instant Pot (if you have a steamer basket–if not shut place sprouts on trivet)
  2. Pour in 1 cup of water
  3. Cook on high for 3 minutes and then do a quick release before opening lid.
