Did you know that today is national Pi Day? March 14th is a day that Math enthusiasts and Foodies come together and celebrate with a day full of lots of puns and pies! You may remember from middle school geometry the Pi is the Greek symbol used to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter or 3.14159265359 (today being 3.14) Got that? Well, to be totally honest, I am bit confused about the Math part (it was never my favorite subject) but I most certainly can wrap my head around pies! I have you covered in that department! So while I may not be brushing up on my old math notes or crunching numbers today, I WILL be making a pie! I love a good excuse to have dessert! So today’s post will showcase of few of my favorite pie recipes! Yum!
*Also I have my weekly menu planned with links to recipes here on my other blog Melandboys
Lets start off with these darling and delicious mini pies…
How about this sweet and tangy pie which, by the way would be a perfect dessert for St Patrick’s Day this Friday!
Key Lime Pie
You can’t go wrong with this prize winning, creamy decedent pie
Or how about a beloved American classic?
Don’t have a lot of time? This pie comes together FAST and is fabulous!
*Just be sure to make it a couple of hours before you want to serve it–it does need to chill
One of my all time favorite pies and one that is ALWAYS a huge hit whenever I share it!
I am telling you this pie is AMAZING and so easy to make!
