- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375. Grease an 8inch square pan.
- Melt butter and stir in sugar. Then add the eggs and stir until well blended.
- Combine buttermilk with baking soda and stir into wet mixture.
- Stir in cornmeal, flour, and salt until well blended and few lumps remain.
- Pout batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
